    Sutter Solano Medical Center

One of the ways that we say thank you to our generous friends in the community is with invitations to exclusive events. Here’s a wrap up of our recent donor recognition receptions.

Sutter Solano Charitable Foundation Donor Reception- Farragut Inn
    Touro University, Vallejo, CA
    March 2012
Sixty-five hardy donors weathered the wind and rain to attend SSCF’s reception “Sutter Solano Celebrates 2011” at Touro University. Dr. John Kofoed, orthopedic surgeon from Sutter Medical Foundation Fairfield, thanked everyone for the $309,000 that enabled Sutter Solano Medical Center to purchase several pieces of orthopedic surgical equipment that will provide improved patient outcomes. Dr. Samuel Santoro welcomed guests and especially physician colleagues who generously supported Sutter Solano Charitable Foundation in 2011. Terry Glubka, Sutter Solano Medical Center CEO, shared the news of the hospital’s high rankings for federally mandated quality measures.

Sutter Solano Charitable Foundation Donor Reception
    Buck Foundation Mansion, Vacaville, CA
    September 2011
The beautiful Frank and Eva Buck Foundation Mansion in Vacaville was the site of the September 21, 2011 event to thank our 2010 and 2011 donors and friends. Highlights of the evening were the very warm Solano County weather and sixty of Sutter Health’s best friends, physicians and loyal donors. Anthony Russo of Fairfield, told the story of his life-saving experience at Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo. Christine Tooby, event chair and SSCF Board member announced that her father’s (Dr. Richard Zimmerman) legacy is continuing with the possible expansion of the Zimmerman Patient Care Program from the current Vacaville and Fairfield locations to become a county-wide program to provide physician house calls to elderly patients. And Lynn Upchurch, Executive Director of SSCF, told those gathered that their generous support has already raised more in the first half of 2011 than in all of calendar year 2010. We are grateful and so are our patients. Generosity Heals!
