IMRT works to destroy or shrink tumors, but it can also be used to relieve symptoms caused by the tumor, such as pain or bleeding.

IMRT can be used to treat the following types of cancers:

  • Brain
  • Breast
  • Gynecologic
  • Head and neck
  • Liver
  • Lung
  • Lymphomas
  • Prostate
  • Thyroid

    IMRT is also appropriate for treating certain pediatric cancers.
