About Us
Sutter Solano Medical Center
Sutter Solano Cancer Center provides the region with advanced cancer therapies delivered by an expert team of physicians, nurses and therapists.
In 2002, the medical center identified cancer as a main health concern in Solano County. Over the next four years, a Community Cancer Committee of physicians, community advocates, cancer survivors and board members shaped a vision to provide a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment and support.
In November 2004, Sutter Solano Medical Center broke ground on a 60,000-square-foot cancer center and medical office building. By December 2005, construction was completed and the center opened; community residents no longer need to travel outside the county for cancer care.
Environment of Healing
The center offers a complete range of cancer services in a comfortable and serene environment that promotes positive patient experiences. Many healing and soothing elements are incorporated into the center, including waterways, gardens, a serenity room and a fireplace.
Support and Education
By bringing together cancer patients and their family members in support groups, people share their experiences and offer each other comfort and help. The center provides educational programs and services:
